Coastal Charm: Lobster Château

The good: Beautiful views and right on the beach. Floor plan is creepy. The “first floor tenant” has direct access to our living area on the second floor at all times. There is a camera in the hallway. The hot tub was filthy and a serious hazard for children. Fine if it’s out of service but then drain and cover it. The Keurig coffee maker doesn’t work. Only two coffee mugs in the kitchen WiFi signal does not reach to the bedrooms. A lot of potential but for this price frankly I expect more.

The view was spectacular! The layout is a bit odd as there is an upper and lower. The cooling pool (I assume that’s what the listing mentioned) is definitely in an awkward spot so if traveling with small children it’s something to be aware of. It was also full and not clean. We accidentally left a bag of garbage behind so my sincere apologies for that as the trash can outside was full. Otherwise, great location, beautiful home, and amazing views!

Ick Negative: The instructions to access the property were incorrect requiring a phone call for assistance, the back glass door to the beach was unlocked when we arrived necessitating a safety search, several of the bath towels were dirty or unwashed which made us uncomfortable using the remaining towels, there were stains on the surface of the sofa so we didn't want to sit down, the coffee maker was not working in the morning and sparked when plugged in and there were only two very tattered coffee cups to choose from as well. We felt very uncomfortable and left after one night even though we'd paid for three nights.
